PlayShaun and Buike Advance

Chuck Hayes and his Houston Rockets ended their run perhaps to their fighting end Saturday night losing Game 7 to the Utah Jazz 103-99. Hayes scored 26 points for the series. That's for the series. Even though it was disappointing, UK fans still have things to be proud of via the NBA, at least the way I see it. Buike and Prince are still alive.

Tayshaun Prince, perhaps the biggest UK alum currently playing in the NBA, and his Pistons continue to make noise in post season play. They defeated the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 of their conference semi-finals 95-69 after sweeping the Magic in Round 1. Tayshaun is averaging 15.8 ppg.

In fact Natalie over at Need4Sheed has this awesome pic of Tayshaun you see to your left and if you're interested go check out this awesome highlight reel of Playshaun, I mean Tayshaun. Pretty cool stuff.

Kelenna Azubuike and his Golden State Warriors made a little NBA history when they checked up on Mark Cuban's Mavs as they defeated them 111-86 and now face the Utah Jazz team which took Hayes' Rockets to 7 games. Kelenna isn't playing much though, only 4 games, 3 mpg, and 1.0 ppg.

While we're on the subject of Buike, it seems as though the Great Britain coach Chris Finch is calling on Azubuike talents for a summer program which leads up to the European B Championship qualifying games in the fall. He's one of three NBA players called up (or is it over).
