Hittin' The Three And Playin' With D

( “ My Trifecta will Affect ya ” )

Kentucky shot 52% and held Chattanooga to under 30% shooting in a 16 point win the other night. Chattanooga's Keddric Mays sank 7 threes with his game-high 25 pts, but Kentucky shot 50% from the three point arc - something they've been struggling with lately. Chattanooga had 10 more shot attempts, and Kentucky had - eek, not again - 20 turnovers.

Not much production out of UK's bench, but they didn't need to find any against Chattanooga. Crawford, Bradley, Morris, and Perry all scored double digits efforts, and Derrick Jasper who started the game as the extra guard had 10 grabs and six assists along with his 3 steals. Three point shooting was on fire by way of Bradley, Crawford, and Bobby Perry who combined to hit the stat sheet for 13-21 with the three ball. Randolph Morris again flirted with a double double, as did Bradley and Perry, and whatever they did in practice to help their jumper, well it worked. Kinda hard to lose a game when you shoot over 50 percent and hold your opponent to under 30 percent.

Kentucky gets to 5-3 now, faces Indiana tomorrow, and we'll see if this kind of effort shows itself against the Hoosiers, dare I say, on national television.
