Kentucky-L'ville: 1st Half

Pre-Tip

Billy Packer calls Kentucky's guards very good? They haven't proven themselves quite to that level yet.

19:47: L'ville with a quick score off the tip. Kentucky handling the Cards press very well.
19:30: Ahh. Miss by Crawford.
18:47: Another miss by Crawford. Come on. Lets look to Morris.
18:00: What - are we going to shoot three's all game?
17:41: Turnover L'ville. Bout time we get one in our favor.
17:26: And we turn it over just as quickly. Nice.
17:11: Louisville is shooting the long ball on target so far. Turnover Kentucky. Great.
16:46: Steal Jasper. Dunk. Sweet. 6-2 Cards.
16:03: Nice dish from Crawford to Stevenson for the JAM! 6-4 Cards.

Timeout. Turnovers: Cards 2 UK Zip. Wait. L'ville's stat tracker not up to date. Great.
Morris with two quick fouls - that's how the Cards are gonna beat us.

15:11: Bradley misses a long three. Again, Kentucky's three ball aint connecting, and with Morris out, expect more jumpers like that.
14:41: Bradley block! He learned that trick from Jasper. He came from behind like Jasper did last week.
14:04: 7-4 Cards. Freshman mistakes again. Porter and Jasper with consecutive TO's.
13:33: Kentucky survived a three point shot by McGee.
12:57: Feed to Obrzut. Miss. Nice block for the TO by Crawford though on the other end.
11:50: Crawford drives. Foul. It would be so much easier for them if they Morris.
11:24: Kentucky forces the turnover. Perry misses the turnaround.
10:42: Padgett gets the turnaround at the other end. 11-6 Cards.
10:00: Perry has to make that basket underneath, or draw the foul one.

Meeks makes one of two at the line. We have to make free throws. Right now Kentucky's best bet is driving and drawing the foul, cuz their jumpers arent going in.
Bradley nice dish to Obrzut for the score.
How good has Jasper improved? Great D defending the pass.

8:42: Cards sink the three. 16-9 Cards.

Kentucky looks like they have no idea what to do on offense.

8:22: Meeeeeeeeeeks for the Threeeeeeeeeeeee. 16-12 Cards.
7:32: Slick Michael Porter sneaks his way in for the offensive grab, foul on L'ville. Nice hustle by the freshman.

Timeout. Neither team shooting well.

6:37: Turnover L'ville. Meeks for the jumper. Swish.
6:03: Defensive rebound Kentucky, Obrzut with the jumper! Kentucky grabs the lead, 17-16.

This is a pretty boring game. Neither team really has owned any momentum.

5:18: Meeeeeeeeeks for Three. Someone might be HOOOOOOOOT!!!
4:53: And the Cards answer back with a Trey. 21-20 Cards. (Anyone know where Patrick Sparks is at?)
4:20: Crawfords jumper is horrible. Miss. I'd rather see him drive and dish and draw a foul than see him try from three.

Kentucky's D just might be the thing that saves them today.

Timeout: Kentucky 8 of 22, L;ville 7 of 22. Both teams have made only 2 Threes. Free Throw line: Kentucky is 2-6 L'ville is 5-7 which right now is the difference in score just about.

2:50: Porter turns the ball over. 1st UK turnover in over 5 minutes though. 23-20 Cards.
2:08: Jam for Obrzut! 23-22 Cards.
1:38: Porter for Threeeee! 25-23 Kentucky.
1:11: Air Ball Three for Louiiiiiiiiiiisville right from Sparks Corner. Maybe Sparks jinxed that spot on the court. LoL.
:39: Crawford gets his own three point miss back for a closer jumper. Takes time, but he's finding his range huh? 27-24 Kentucky.

Timeout. Kentucky is matching the Cards intensity on the Defensive boards.

Halftime. Pretty boring. No flow. Up and down. Kentucky ends up shooting 41% for the half, but 33% from the line whereas L'ville is shooting 26% and 60% from the line and only a +4 rebound edge for L'ville. Both teams with 7 turnovers. Glad to see turnovers aren't hindering possessions. Randolph Morris should open up Kentucky's lead in the second half.
