Some NFL Team Should Bounce On Couch!

As we blogged here, KSR now reports that WKYT has reported that Couch is finally going to re-start his career in the NFL. In fact, be sure to check out the video interview at WKYT. Couch talks about contacting every team in the league and the mindset of owners being reluctant at first to give him a another try after two shoulder injuries.

We here at the Wildcat Blog believe there are teams that could use his assistance. Tampa Bay, yes. Carolina, what has Delhomme done lately, yes. Um, thinking, oh Miami, CHECK YES. Um, Buffalo, yes. Um, Houston, check yes. Uh, Oakland, YES. The Raiders were the recipient of an aging Super Bowl QB in Rich Gannon. Two times the charm? Um, why not Green Bay again? Favre is about done ready to finish his career. Uh, Atlanta. From dawg pound to dawg pound. LoL. Why not, Vick, I'm sorry, isn't going to be in the league for much longer. If I was Atlanta I'd start thinking for the future. Um, what about Washington. Let Couch see if he's better than Brunell. From what I'm hearing, I'd bet he is, even if it's a backup roll to Campbell.

So there are several teams that wouldn't hurt at all to take a look at Couch. Couch's last attempt was a preseason in Green Bay, so maybe the Packers want to take another look at him. That would give the Packers some time after Favre retires to see if Aaron Rodgers is who they want. So realistically, Couch could land on a roster this year, very possible if he passes his physicals and shows some talent to potential owners. The only downside? Team worry of Couch re-injurying an already battered shoulder which might be the only thing keeping Couch away from the NFL.
