With Success Comes ...

… Um, comes … higher ticket prices?

Not by much though, well, at least with Kentucky Football. The University of Kentucky will be increasing 07-08 football season ticket prices by less than a dollar. Which hey, they did win a bowl game last year and this year with expectations rising it wouldn't hurt to dip into your change cup to support Rich Brooks' effort to put Kentucky football back on the map for good. No?

07-08 Sideline Season Tickets -- $248
Endzone Season Tickets -- $199
Single Game Tickets -- $30

The Men's Hoops Prices will soar to an xtra 6 bucks my fellow Big Blue Nation friends. On the contrary though, five other schools with competitive fan interest are still higher than Kentucky's, so even though it's a pretty big raise in ticket prices, overall it's really not that bad [but who am I to say, I'm not one of the lucky ones owning season tickets at Rupp].

Season Tickets at

Duke -- $500-1200
Kansas -- $945
Conn -- $660
UNC -- $535
UCLA -- $476-656

Kentucky's Men's Basketball 07-08 Ticket Prices

Lower Level Season Tickets -- $594
Upper Level Season Tickets -- $504
Single Game {Lower Level} -- $33
Single Game {Upper Level} -- $28

With Gillispie in town and impressed with the returning talent, I have a feeling the raise in prices will barely be felt. But this is basketball we're talking about, even the roundball is saying giddyup!
