Quite Frankly, I See A Resemblance

Yo, peace to Pippi Longstocking!
I see the resemblance of Pippi Longstocking, what about you? Pic courtesy of SI.com.

Every now and then, especially since Kentucky news is scarce, I like to delve into the NBA hoops and see what's going on, well, this Saturday morning I woke up to something quite amusing. No it wasn't Joakim Noah, that's late news. I woke up to a column by True Hoop on ESPN in which he refers to a quote from one of his readers,

“I finally figured it out [Joakim] Noah looks like the spawn of Diana Ross and Matlock.

Now that's funny, but I think Pippi suits him best. From that column we also find a vid on the Portland Trailblazers page of them drafting Greg Oden then ends with ticket info. I just find it funny how now days with the #1 pick, especially with LJ, teams market around it to spike up ticket sales. I'm just not sure that Oden is THAT good. If I start seeing Oden commercials like Lebron's I'm going to know hell has frozen over.

Last but not least, I've saved the best so you'll remember. Via True Hoop, via Slam Online, YOU HAVE TO SEE THESE KIDS HECKLING Stephen A Smith at the NBA Draft. It is the most outrageous, funniest, and intelligent idea since bringing keg parties to horse races. Well maybe not so, but with YouTube around, these guys have started a trend. Start expecting more stuff like this on a yearly basis. This was great for my Saturday morning wake up, better than coffee or any alternative!

I am Stephen A Smith and I can't believe how good these cheese doodles are! Funny! Stephen, Stephen, Stephen, Stephen, Stepheeeeen!

Hail! Hail! Pippi Longstocking!
